Moosejaw The outdoors finally comes in

No longer just the Amazon of things you can buy online to go camping in the Amazon, Moosejaw is now an actual, brick and mortar in Boulder's 29th Street Mall. Their first CO store is 4800sqft of outdoorsman's heaven, and its presence means you can actually now try on the things you want to buy, in bizarrely disco-themed dressing rooms, no less. Prepare to stay alive:

Climbing: The store's overstocked with scrambling gear so as to be "tailored for the Boulder market" (who are unsurprisingly passionate about a sport where they can literally look down on everyone), so nab sport/ trad/ bouldering sneaks and gear from Black Diamond, Metolius, Petzl, Five Ten, Sterling, and Evol.

Hiking and Camping: Tents hang from the ceiling, there's a gigantic backpack wall (with brands like Osprey and Gregory), and the racks are lined with sleeping bags from locals like Mountainsmith and Big Agnes, aka a girl you probably don't want to share a tent or a sleeping bag with.

Umm... Wearing: The big, Patagonian brands split floor space with the less ubiquitous quality of Sweden's Fjallraven and New Zealand's merino-wool-happy Icebreaker. There's also plenty of footwear from the likes of Vibram, Merrell, and Salomon, plus, "for the trail or mountain", La Sportiva, Keen, and Asolo, also Italian for any idiot who tries to get out in the elements without stopping here first.
