Old-school craftsmanship: it's more than Todd Phillips' meticulous framing of jello wrestling scenes, as evidenced by Bexar Goods Co., whose Hill Country founders handmake handsome travel accessories with such rugged purpose, you'll totes forget their totes are called "totes". Hit their site for videos detailing a fabrication process employing a vintage, single-needle sewing machine; waxed, water-repellent, duck-cotton canvas from one of the US's oldest suppliers; non-fraying merino felt; and genuine English bridle leather vegetable-tanned with natural materials like tree bark, obviously from a dogwood.

Looks include the just-released, raven-black, waxed-cotton Jag tote with industrial threading & hand-hammered copper rivets, and the roll-top, leather-strapped, mountaineering-inspired Urban Vagabond backpack, plus wool felt iPod and MacBook sleeves and sundries from leather bracelets to dog collars, their only product that will make you look like a bitch.

Despite the old-school approach, Bexar is active on the social media front, encouraging you to like them on Facebook for a 15% discount, and catch jaw-dropping Tumblr travel photos, which should ease any DJ Quallms about taking one of their bags on a Road Trip.
