In America, different people have different ideas about what it means to be a Patriot: some think it means wearing a flag lapel on your shirt, while others think it means being Roland Emmerich, and getting two Australians to play the lead roles in your Revolutionary War movie. For sweet outdoor gear that'll have you waving Old Glory, hit up Ball and Buck, now open.
The patriotic vision of a recent Babson grad born (alarmingly!) with "red, white, and blue running through his veins", B&B's a rugged, hunting-inspired men's clothier/North End boutique that pays homage to historic made-in-America brands in a warmly lit, living room-esque space outfitted w/ an antique record player, leather chair & ottoman, b/w hunting photos, a musket-flanked American flag set behind a mounted ram's head, and framed rabbit targets, which can only be taken down by Eddie Valiant. For your next turkey shoot/casual Friday, there's the signature Roger short-sleeve tee w/ customized breast pocket made from myriad plaid/striped fabrics (choose from their book or bring your own!); Bills Khakis Original Twill chinos; Nashville's Otis James handsewn wool/cashmere six-fold neckties; and footwear from Wolverine's 1000 Mile Boot Collection, also Logan's detailed map of all the places he's ever thrown up. From the "George Washington used this brand" of historic accessories, there's Caswell-Massey (founded 1752) colognes and Dr. Hunter's Barber Shop Shave Cream/Castile Soap/Hair Wash to accompany the slightly less vintage (1880s) Wm J. Mills canvas sailbags and more modern Randolph Engineering aviators and Lodge cowhide leather belts, which start out light and grow darker with time, like a bizarro-world Michael Jackson.
To round things out, B&B also rocks cool odds & ends like vintage lighters labeled with old ads for Salem cigs, deerskin driving gloves, wooden game calls, and camo coozies, which are pretty cool, even if they're not exactly Revolutionary.
