Finally giving you a reason to spend more than 30 secs inside Birmingham's Complex (aside from the amazing accent pillow section) is Maple, a new men's-only boutique decked out in reclaimed Corktown barnwood and display tables made of (tetanus-free!) rusted metal, which just arose for your man-shopping pleasure in the middle of Complex.
Their impressive stock of tough-to-find-in-Detroit duds includes lightweight linen buttondowns and slim cargo pants from Shades of Grey, Isaora & Kitsune t-shirts, and Publish Brand shorts specifically designed for rolling up... the bottoms of, you hippie!
Because your Ben Wallace Starburys really don't go with Kitsune t-shirts, you can grab kicks from Generic Surplus, brightly colored leisure loafers by Rivieras, and lightweight Swims shoes that you can basically wear from the beach to the office, and everywhere else in between that you can't wear your Ben Wallace Starburys.
The space is definitely cozy, considering it's literally inside an entirely different store, so they're keeping a tidy inventory but will rotate in new items pretty much constantly, which means you've got at least a chance at one day picking up -- fingers crossed!! -- some David Lerner tribal leather leggings.
