Rakim once famously said “it ain’t where you’re from, it’s where you’re at”, which is really just horrible grammar and usage all around, but that’s not really the point. Well, you’re at Philadelphia, so let everyone know by picking up some gear from Aphillyated Apparel.
Aphillyated’s a tee line started by a BuxCo entrepreneur tired of hyping other people’s gear, so he brought in his bro and got to designing his own tees, which incorporate equal parts “Philadelphia” and “urban culture”, soo…Yo-play? Things start off with sports love like the fiery-eyed, all-black-logo’d Eagles tribute “Fly Higher” in orange or green, the Orange Line-sign-aping “Broad Street Bullies”, and an old-school Eagles-green number dubbed the “Crown Vick”, showing a certain left-handed QB wearing a crown made of the Philly skyline -- impressive, as you can only get those Nissans in Japan or by winning buttloads of Sunday Cup races in a Miata. Other offerings include city nods like “LOVE”, depicting the JFK Park statue composed of neighborhood names, and “BELL”, the Liberty Bell made up of a bunch of locales and phrases that show what Philly’s all about, including Festival Pier, Geno’s, and as always, plenty of crack.
As the summer progresses, they’ll be releasing alternate colorways so you can get the one you really want, although if you’re just more into the idea of “shirts” in general, they’ve got a $9.99 “Mystery Tee” option where you get something totally random, so long as they’re Paid in Full.
