If you weren't already excited about Southwest Airline's decision to pour delicious New Belgium Brewing's craft suds on all their flights, well then buckle your seat belt and lock the tray table, 'cause things are about to get wilder. Like Van Wilder -- that's how awesome. Not only is Alaska Airlines one-upping Southwest by serving Fairbank's fave Silver Gulch Brewing & Bottling Co.'s Old 55 Pale Ale on board; they're giving it away absolutely FREE.

Yes, you read that correctly: craft beer, free of charge, on a plane. Just one small little catch -- it's only available (starting March 3rd) on two of their local routes, between Anchorage and Fairbanks or Kodiak. Which means you'll most certainly be enjoying gratis craft brews on your summer adventure to Mt. McKinley, but not quite yet on your AA flight from Boston to Seattle (you'll have to hold on to your seat belts, chaps).

Either way, let's hope this is just the beginning of the craft beer at altitude revolution.
