Don't like Airbnb? Here's a luxury alternative.

If you're discouraged by Airbnb horror stories, but the idea of renting an apartment instead of splurging on a hotel still piques your interest, a new rental alternative will gladly take your business.

Introduced last week, Be Mate, an apartment rental site, operates in 10 cities, offering 2,500 luxe accommodations that come with the bonus of hotel amenities without the need for "Do Not Disturb" signs or tips for everyone in the path to your room.

So far, rentals in Madrid, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Salamanca, Granada, Malaga, Mexico, Florence, Miami, and New York are available, with another 190 locations expected to be added by December 2015.

Be Mate is basically a posh Airbnb that includes traditional hotel perks like 24-hr concierge, key pick-up, and baggage services, while you rent out someone else's luxury apartment. Effectively, it combines Airbnb with the usual hotel experience.

“So many of us, myself included, want the homey feel of an apartment when we’re on the road but don’t want to give up the conveniences of staying at a hotel”, Be Mate's founder, Enrique Sarasola, told the New York Times. Sarasola also owns the boutique hotel chain, Room Mate Hotels.

Like its sister hotel franchise, Be Mate guarantees "high-design" rentals, and each apartment is within walking distance of one of the hotels, allowing renters to take full advantage of hotel amenities; additional services such as housekeeping, citywide Wi-Fi, and airport transfers are also available for an extra fee.

A night's stay in an apartment will set you back anywhere between $80 and just over $300.

Check out Be Mate's website to book your luxury rental.
