What do Kate Middleton, Kate Beckinsale, and Kate Moss all have in common?

Well, they're all named Kate, of course, are impossibly hot, and hail from one of the sexiest countries on Earth. But here's why you're in this article: they all share the hottest accent in the world!

According to Time Out’s Global Dating Survey, Brits have the sexiest accent, garnering a whopping 27% of the vote. The survey asked 11,000 respondents across 24 global cities for the accent they find the most becoming. Residents of New York, Paris, and Sydney were especially taken with the proper British way of speech.

Next up, the American accent took second place, with 8.7% of the vote. Clearly these people have not heard someone from Quincy, MA or anywhere in Appalachia, for that matter. Irish accents took third place (or “turd” place, if you ask an Irish person) in the report, with 8.1%.

Surprisingly, the Aussie accent only got 8% of the vote, while France, where everyone’s mistress has another man, took just 7.7% of votes. Paris was slated the best place to date, though -- and with all those mistresses, who could disagree?
