Flight attendant fired for being too sexy

In the Mad Men days of air travel, flight attendants were free to be as sexy as they wanted: all short skirts and high heels. But these days, not only have FA uniforms gotten more demure, some airlines apparently don’t want their cabin crew to be sexy at all.

Case in point, Turkish Airlines just fired 31-year-old flight attendant Zuhal Sengul because, well, she’s TOO hot! Or something like that.

After discovering a self-made “music” video showing Sengul frolicking poolside in a skimpy bikini, as well as revealing photos of the part-time glamour model in an Italian magazine, the airline swiftly dismissed the tattooed redhead.

A spokesman for Turkish Airlines, which tried and failed to impose a ban on flight attendants wearing lipstick last year, said in a statement that it encourages its female crew to wear “simple make-up” and “pastel colors”. Neither of which seem to be Sengul's style.

You know what is Sengul's style, though? Stroking poker chips and swimming in slow motion. And you can see her do both in the video that got her fired, right here...
