At home in the Dallas Farmer’s Market, Laili dishes out noteworthy authentic Afghan cuisine and handmade Turkish pastries. The menu features items like, Bolani/gözleme (the words are respectively Afghani and Turkish highlighting Laili’s commitment to unity), a sweet, pita-like flatbread stuffed with spinach, feta, and spicy pepper flakes, the Ribeye Wrap, pepper-rubbed, grilled beef kebab wrapped in pita served with a side of spinach and spicy cilantro cream sauce, and Mantu, beef or spinach dumplings topped with yogurt sauce and a house tomato sauce. For dessert, the Turkish baklava made from scratch (as in the paper thin, flaky phyllo dough is rolled and made in-house) is drenched in honey and buttered to flaky perfection, but if that’s not your style the lemon bars are almost as sinful.
