Mud Hen Water

Honolulu
Hawaiian Restaurant
$$$$

Mud Hen Water is all about Hawai‘i's rich history: its name comes from the ancient Hawai‘ian community of Wai’alae and the menu is hyper-locally sourced. This casual spot and its inviting patio make you feel at home, especially if you recognize the native delicacies and comfort foods on the menu. At brunch Mud Hen offers a Bloody Mary bar and options like Bali Banana Pancakes and the Pig Face & Kim Chee Omelette (served with watercress salad and pig’s ears). Later, enjoy Kualoa Ranch Oysters in a sake mignonette and I’a Lawalu (opah, steamed banana, local veggies, and coconut cream) with a list of primarily west coast and local brews along with cocktails like the Mud Water (made with Cynar, lime, mint, and Rock Candy syrup).
