The Abington Collection

Honoring your past can reinvigorate your present, like an NFL team dusting off the throwbacks to summon the spirit of their hard-knocking formative years -- or, if they're the Broncos, their whimsical, brown and yellow Oompa Loompa years. Honoring origins with slick gear for your feets: Abington boots.

Just arrived at Gtown's Major, Timberland's limited edition, high-end Abington collection pays homage to the past both in name (Timberland was originally formed as "The Abington Shoe Company"), and via clean, simple, rugged design that draws inspiration from "traditional boots made for farmers, factory workers, and blacksmiths" -- protecting you from sparks, jagged metal, and corn. Headlining Fall is the new, high-topped Guide Boot (black, brown, or suede), with quilted leather lining, Italian made vintage Vibram outsoles, and "reinforced pull-on areas for extra durability", ideal when your guiding's sidelined by foot-swelling gout. The Guides join new colorways on the Hiker Boot, made with leather from Chicago's vaunted Horween tannery and sporting a debris-blocking gusseted tongue; the low-top, military-inspired Field Boot; and the simple red-brown or black Work Boot, whose cleanness stands in direct contrast to the work boot you took the morning after Steve's bachelor party. Who really wanted that last round of shots, Steve?

Also just in are Timberland's militaristic, brown or beige, Earthkeeper Collection x Wyclef Jean Yele Haiti boots, designed by Clef himself -- who wanted to go with a brown-and-yellow, old-school Broncos look, but was told to Fugee-t about it.
