Bicycle Stations

Your possessions should fit your lifestyle; why get a Hummer if you'll never go off-roading, and why get an Easy Bake oven when you're aaaall about broiling? For a bike shop tailored to your day-to-day, hit up Bicycle Stations.

Opening today in a sleek, brick & glass galley, Stations is a full-service retail/rental/repair boutique determined to spread the joy of social/urban bike-cruising, as opposed to the extreme radicalness of mountain biking, or the extreme spandicalness of racing. For your pedaling pleasure, they're carrying action like the super-smooth, beefy-framed Kestrel Talon, several Breezer options (the silky, auto-headlighting Uptown; the plush-saddled Villager; the ultra-comfortable, easy-twist shifting Citizen; the bargain-model Freedom), and the rare Laguna Bicycles beach-cruiser -- a stripped-down, extremely simple model, much like the girls of Laguna Beach High. To accessorize your two-wheeling, there's everything from Fuji gloves to all manner of mountable Breezer saddle bags, like the expandable Extended Trunk, and the Supersize Grocery Pannier; if you're too lazy to shop, BS'll coordinate a bike rental/picnic package, and come meet you with grub from G-town's Peacock Cafe -- named for an animal you shouldn't imitate if you want to keep your girlish picnicking a secret.

In the near-ish future, BS'll be introducing a DIY bike maintenance class, and a backroom, spinning class -- crucial fat-burning if you ever want to get a hummer.
