Sascha Petraske's latest, Star's a 3-room railroad of a joint ornately decorated w/ marble bar, black leather banquettes, and the eponymous Moroccan light fixtures. Petraske himself'll be behind the bar pouring boutique scotches/tequilas/microbrews, but he's eschewing shakers and juice to concentrate on traditional auto verseurs absinthe service and vintage liquor combos, e.g., scotch and soda, and the champagne/absinthe cocktail inspired by Hemingway's bullfighting book "Death in the Afternoon" -- because only a de classe establishment would mix a "Gored in the Gonads".
