In a time when every day feels the same, Fridays are more valuable than ever before. They're the light at the end of the tunnel filled with Wednesday's that feel like whole months and Mondays that leave you feeling like you've aged a year. Fridays should be celebrated. So, it's good news that McDonald's is continuing is "Fry Day" tradition by handing out free fries to celebrate the arrival of the end of the week.
Here's the deal: Every Friday from now through the end of June 2021, McDonald's will give you a free medium order of fries when you put together an order totaling at least $1 via its mobile app's contactless ordering feature, according to a spokesperson. So, you'll have to download the app, create an account, and buy at least one other item to get your hands on the free fries—small hurdles to clear for those crispy, salty, greasy spuds.
If you're already set up on the McDonald's app, then you know what's up. You'll find the free fries promo—among others—listed under the "Deals" section on the app's main screen. And in case this all sounds familiar, McDonald's has been giving out free fries on Fridays for a while now. We're happy to see it going strong in 2021.
Now, is this offer worth going out of your way for? That depends on how strong your fries craving is come Friday. But if you're already planning on hitting up your local McDonald's on a Friday, it would behoove you to take advantage of this deal. It's hard to see a downside to free fries—even if they're only the second-best fries in fast food.
