Yield: 1 cocktail

  • 1½ ounces sake
  • 1 ½ ounces vodka
  • 1 cucumber
  • Cucumber slices, to garnish

  • To make the cucumber ice cubes, take the cucumber and chop it up. Place it in a food processor or blender, and blitz well. Use a fine mesh strainer to extract the pulp, and pour the juice into an ice cube tray or desired mold. Freeze overnight.
  • To make the cocktail, combine the sake and vodka in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until well-chilled.
  • Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass or coupe. Add a cucumber ice cube and garnish with a cucumber slice. Serve.
