Ponder Wonder

Three-in-one things're the best, from the gaming setup with foosball, knock hockey, and bumper pool, to 3-in-1 Oil, which could degrease, lube up, and prevent corrosion on that 3-in-1 table, if you weren't already distracted by your awesome new above-ground pool. For an actual tripling up of awesome, hit Ponder Wonder

Soft opening tomorrow/grand opening next Friday, Ponder's a clothing consignment boutique, art studio, and event space decked with rolling wood-framed racks hoisting gently worn streetwear and accessories, paintings from local artists, a mini Crunk Juice fridge, and a Yie Ar Kung Fu arcade setup, considered by Japanese gamers to be the basis for modern fighting games, a bit of history that shouldn't be Tekken for granted. For the next week, they'll be displaying vivid art from locals such as Heed Smith, who provided a Hendrix portrait and an oil-based rendering of a lady in lingerie holding a pistol behind her back, plus other contributions like paintings of a boombox, piano keys, and a TV test pattern by "Nadia"; a Super Mario vs. King Bowser job by Gutter Pop; and one of Dave Chappelle doing standup by a guy one of the owners calls "Spongebob", either because he looks like a cartoon sponge, or because he looks like a cartoon sponge. Next Fri, they'll start selling their stockpile of duds, which includes Jordan apparel (hooded sweatshirts, warm-up suits...), Marc Ecko polos/knits, a plethora of Coogi sweaters, Lacoste and Adidas windbreakers/track jackets, vintage Braves caps, and footwear like Gucci loafers and sneaks, including a pair of Asian-character-embroidered LeBrons which serve to back up his nickname, "Ming James"

Events-wise, it's gonna be showcases, artist meet & greets, occasional live music, plus you can rent the joint out if you think people actually want to party with you. They're paying cash for summer gear right now, plus selling local artists' donated creations and only keeping 30-35%, also the approximate allotment of total rumpus room crappiness split by each the foosball, knock hockey, and bumper pool tables.
