A streetwear pop-up birthday party

Birthdays are an opportunity to reflect on all you've accomplished in the past year, whether it was landing that new job, taking that relationship to the next level, or finally learning to blow out making peace with your inability to blow out trick candles. This Wednesday, Sneak Attack looks back on a year of more-than-just-kicks, with a bash for the ages.

Helmed by a twenty-something writer who just finished a book on Austin's live music scene, Attack launched as a fly-footwear destination in the base of City Hall, expanded to include streetwear, then finally ditched the downtown spot in favor of popping up at events all over town, including this B-Day rager at Beauty Bar, powered by blog-beloved NYC rapper Theophilus London, whose first name roughly translates to "Lover of God" -- also the host of "Yo! MTV Raps Your Knuckles". Besides general revelry, the blowout will also see brand premiers including Hong Kong's Know1edge, which makes everything from olive/charcoal waxed jackets lined with bright contrasting plaid, to subdued winter button-downs, to sleek & simple backpacks like the multi-pocketed Foster, Australian for "Jansport". For your textual pleasure they're also debuting big-lettered UNDRCRWN shirts including the Jadakiss-cum-Ali "The Champ Is Here", an illicit Heat logo reading "M-I-Yay-Yo", and a black-on-black number with the Jay-Z line "All Black Everything"...also available in gray and white.

Not to forget the shoes, Attack will give all ninjas who spend over $100 a free pair of sneaks, and they're holding a drawing for $500 in free gear -- a boon to those whose ongoing struggle's to find a job befitting the age indicated by those maddeningly burning candles.
