About Drew Wood: Thrillist Minneapolis editor/ associate travel editor Drew Wood came to TMG straight off a stint as the editor-in-chief of Minnesota Business Magazine, where he oversaw coverage of all things penny loaferish, private equitable, and ponzi schematic. Earlier career highlights include marketing duties for Heineken USA, glossy work for regional lifestyle mags (most recently Twin Cities METRO), a quick jaunt to Southern California for an MFA in creative writing, an MA in English, and even writing a novel (Wimbly’s Song...in stores now!) while teaching at an arts high school, where his students eschewed apples to bring him daily samples of their morose poetry, as only he really got them. Dude is just that good.
