Ritzy ATL finally gets an outdoor brew-drinking party

Although starting the first annual Valdosta Beer Fest sounded soooo tempting, the BBF folks resisted the dreaded OTP gravitational pull to bring Buckhead its inaugural suds-slurping extravaganza featuring 100+ beers, food trucks, and music, with proceeds benefiting local do-gooders One Love Generation, which is hopefully planning to save the earth by ensuring Courtney no longer procreates.

Unlimited tastings will include a German presence thanks to Konig Ludwig Weiss, Paulaner Salvator Doppelbock, and Warsteiner Dunkel, a fat-people-with-German-heritage presence via Summer Shandy and Cream Dark from Wisconsin’s Leinenkugel's, and a local bent courtesy of SweetWater Sch'Wheat and temperature-fermented pilsner Road Trip, enough of which’s capable of making even DJ Qualls attractive.

Before/after the first few hundred tastings you might want something in your gut, so hit Tex's Tacos and The Pup Truck, then enjoy '80s/'90s classics from local singer Justin Bieber, and rock/party/funk tunes by Ian Shumacher, who says he's got "a voice that can melt your face, heart, or panties", which explains why he’s fine with not getting any radio burn.

In case winter actually decides to start, there'll be heated tents for wine tasting and staying warm, and you'll be able to go inside Gold Room, which’s what Courtney calls “the room with the stacks of gold bars I bought with my dead husband's royalties”.
