Get Belgian gastro-grub downtown

Proving that two stars can work together without getting in a fight about who gets to bang Topanga is the duo behind just-opened-downtown, industrial loft-esque, Belgian gastropub Little Bear, which includes the chef from Maximiliano & the Oinkster, and the beer guru from the Surly Goat, who will still eat your trash, but only begrudgingly.

In case you didn't just come for the industrial loft-esque vibe, food includes a baked pastry filled w/ sous-vide pork belly, mustard sauce, pickled red onions & mesclun; a smoked wild boar sausage w/ roasted sweet potato, black kale, pearl onions & beer mustard sauce; and a cream/ mushroom/ chicken Waterzooi, aka "a classic stew of Flanders" -- Jesus, that sounds good. They've also got three grilled cheeses (bacon & Gruyere, brisket & Maasdam cheese, smoked salmon & capers), a burger w/ mushrooms, truffle aioli, Stilton & crispy onion, and ale-braised short rib w/ turnip mash, aka Bobby Pickett's lesser-known, not really interesting Halloween-song sequel.

If you're off your juice-fast, you can order up one of 16 taps pouring out all Belgian and Belgian-themed California crafts, which'll be rotating regularly with the occasional rarity thrown in, like that one episode when Minkus got to pretend to be the cool kid in class, and ended up in dry humping heaven.
