The guys behind the other Project (Mulberry, that is) have taken over the famed Florent space and installed VP, a rustic, communally tabled den given a modern polish in the form of a zinc bar and self-serve wine machines. Bespoke cocktails incorporate daily ingredients from blueberries, to jalapenos, to cucumbers, all scribbled on blackboards behind the bar, and count originals like the West Side Cowboy (rye, Campari, cherry liqueur, Benedictine), while to-share noshes include garlic prawn skewers, and steak tartare on garlic toast, which will possibly result in breath that makes all your friends jam.
