Opened by a former House of Shields co-owner of eight years, this woodsy Uptown Oakland cocktail-ery doubles as a butcher shop with a bar-adjacent meat counter slicing available-by-the-pound charcuterie like housecured/gin-soaked salami, smoked bacon, and duck prosciutto, all pair-able with eight signature cocktails (four classic, four house) served with homemade brandied cherries, and an ambitious whiskey program that accounts for half the brick-backed bar's cache, which sadly can't be exchanged 4gold.
