Get outside your (Southern) comfort zone next Wednesday by rocking the Indy Spirits Expo, a small-batch boozy fete in Potrero Hill featuring more than 40 micro-distilleries manned by the distillers themselves (plus not not-attractive “brand reps”) who will be answering/hating questions like, “Do you like Piña Coladas?”. And should you not be sufficiently enticed by the promise of hot women paid to giggle at your silly questions, here are three small-batch whiskeys that oughta lure you there:
Redemption High-Rye Bourbon: Hand-bottled and aged for over 2yrs in new charred-oak barrels, this Kentucky elixir takes the amount of rye they’re allowed to legally put in a bourbon “to the max!”, also what Zack affirmatively says to Screech literally every time he asks where they should go to eat.
Angel's Envy Bourbon: Aged 4-6yrs in American white oak (and then another half-year in hand-selected port casks), brand-new AEB is made by Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Famer Lincoln Henderson, developer of Woodford Reserve, Gentleman Jack, and many, many great nights.
High West Bourye: Courtesy of the world’s only ski-in, ski-out distillery, Utah-based HW blends 10yr-old bourbon, 12yr-old rye, 16yr-old rye, and yeti tears to make Bourye, a super whiskey that, unlike sets of pushups done in the bathroom before saying hi to alcohol marketing girls, probably shouldn't be done for reps.
