They say you can tell a lot about a man by the shoes he wears, but even more if they're aquasocks. Tell the world you definitely don't own a skimboard, with kicks from Yuketen
Handcrafted in Maine, Yuketen's dropping their fresh spring/summer collection of moccasins/ topsiders/boots (plus accessories) made from supple, all-vegetable tanned leather and billed as "traditional artifacts of the rugged and refined American past" -- meaning you're basically walking on your own Michael Landons. Classic designs include a heavily oiled, 2-eye Camp Moc w/ brown boat sole and raw hide laces; the multi-colored (red/yellow/blue) suede Blucher Kilte w/ silver eyelets; and the Country Ranger, which sports a soft tobacco leather upper, leather lined cushioned insoles, and a thick natural crepe sole, plus an uncanny knack for knowing exactly when kids are makin' trouble down by the old mill. Other styles include the water-resistant grain brown leather, 4-eyed Fisherman Oxford w/ trademarked Vibram lug sole; a cork bullhide and Indian tan suede Native Fringe Chukka moccasin w/ fringed flip-over tongue; and the handsewn crepe soled Hippie Ring Boot, which can only be shipped to certain parts of Cambridge.
To complement the kicks, they also rock accessories like an orange cotton canvas Triangle backpack w/ veggie-tanned leather shoulder straps, stitched and studded belts, and Cordovan leather wrapped shoehorns -- because you may be able to tell a lot about a man by his shoes, but there's nothing more revealing than feet that can't fit into them.
