Opening today, this Harvard Square mainstay has moved 'cross town and set up shop in the old Pho Republique digs, keeping the massive dark wooden bar but dressing the space up with new gold/yellow walls and serving a slimmed down "best of the best" menu that spans the different regions of India and includes Khattay Meethay Baigan (fenugreek-enhanced eggplant strips stewed in tomato sauce) and Lamb Tawa Gosht -- grilled baby lamb chops marinated for three days and topped with fresh mint sauce and crushed cashews, which would be significantly less upset if Mr. Peanut hadn't dumped them, then got crazy with Brazil Nuts.
