You can learn a lot from a job at the mall, like discipline, a sense of responsibility, and that they'll let you stay on a Sharper Image massage chair for an average of twenty minutes longer if you're wearing a tie. Learning that the best part of working in a mall is leaving: Flat Patties, now reopen. Eager to stretch its legs in more comfy digs, this popular neighborhood burger joint's rolled outta Harvard's Garage to set up shop across the Square in a new 25-seat industrial/exposed-brick space (formerly Calliope) fixed with iron beams, stone and hardwood floors, outdoor tables, and a lofted 2nd floor seating area that overlooks the whole place, which is a shame because the place has a great personality. New specialty burgers include the double BBQ Blue topped w/ bacon, a house BBQ sauce, and Blue Cheese dressing; the jalapeno relish'd South of the Border w/ avocado, jack cheese, and cilantro aioli; and a Swiss, sautéed shroom, and "horsey" sauce'd number called The Forager (if you forage for one, are you Finding Forager?). Further handheld deliciousness includes fresh breaded cod w/ tartar atop a butter grilled bun; a balsamic marinaded and special sauce'd Portobello mushroom sided w/ onion rings; and juicy rare thin-sliced roast beast covered w/ either BBQ, mayo, or horseradish and plated w/ a side of fries slathered in chili cheese, which'll last only as long as it takes Fritos legal team to get their act together. FP's also rockin' old school Root Beer floats, chocolate malteds, and homemade vanilla frozen custard topped w/ dolce de leche, toffee buttered crunch, or candied pecans, which are another thing you can learn a lot about in a job at the mall, cuz Harry and David's hiring.
