Few memories are as special as the ones you share with your brothers: summer night's fishing on the lake, wiffle ball in the park, avenging mom's random death by letting Marky Mark and Tyrese kill a guy. Or building a resto empire, like Temptations Cafe, open now.
A third incarnation from three brothers eager to take their sammie shops in a new direction, TC3's grown from mostly food to a hybrid gourmet lunch plus Euro style café (in the old Ritz Camera) decked out with elaborate wood-block mosaic walls, and two giant light fixtures made of metal globes, but not golden globes, because they were up against Dame Judy Dench. Panini-wise, they've got Roasted Tomato & Chevre w/ arugula and kalamata olive tapenade; a roasted pork loin and honey ham'd Cubano smothered with chipotle mayo, pickles, and Swiss; and a tomato-basil sauce'd Chicken Florentine topped w/ roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, and a spinach ricotta spread, which spinach always seems like it's going to cover but nooo... oh man, these medical bills couldn't have come at a worse time! Other deliciousness includes a basil pesto'd mozzarella and avocado sammie w/ mixed greens; a balsamic vinaigrette-covered Mediterranean hummus wrap (romaine, red onion, feta, stuffed grape leaves); and an Elvis-worthy honey-drizzled peanut butter and banana on multi-grain, which only fools rush into eating without a drink.
For all your morning/cafe needs, TC's frothin' cappuccinos, espressos, and George Howell drip coffees to pair with a solid assortment of pastries and breakfast eats like a classic bagel & lox and a burrito filled with scrambled egg, pepperjack, and bacon -- which you'll be forced to bring home to your bro's family when he got locked up, or maybe he didn't, TBS has mad-long commercial breaks.
