Siboney

Owned by a career real estate man and chef'd by a pro straight outta Cuba, Siboney's a mahogany-trimmed, tin-ceilinged resto/bar/lounge decked with black and white tile and Cuban-themed artwork, and dishing out traditional Havana fare -- classic Cuban sandwiches, ropa vieja, and cremas (heavy cream-based soups). Entrees cast a wider net, with meaty picks like Churrasco (skirt steak Argentina/Uruguay style), which comes with unlimited sides like congris (Cuban-style red beans and rice) and tostones (twice-fried plantains), which sound good, but still won't give you the confidence to tell your GF you don't like her hair.
