Live Action Mario Brothers in Mercedes Commercials

So, how do you sell a new Mercedes in Japan? Obviously, you enlist Nintendo. And more specifically, Mario Brothers.

This TV spot for the new GLA starts out like the first level in Super Mario Brothers for NES, but instead of Mario, a mini Benz rolls through the scene. Then, halfway through things get real—like, literally, as it turns into a live-action piece with an actor suited up as the iconic red plumber.

Spoiler alert: Koopas hurt.
