Bart's Refurb

Chelsea's "worst kept secret" reopens tonight after a major refurbishment; step through the speakeasy's anonymous Cloisters door to find an interior more elaborately decorated via touches like a cuckoo'd "wall of clocks", plus an outdoor Havana-style rum garden surrounded by mint plants. Drinks remain unapologetic, from the Woodford Manhattan dubbed "To Hell With Temperance", to the apple/dark berry/Hendricks "Chelsea Rose", served Prohibition-style in a teacup -- odd, since everyone knows that, to keep from being seen as effete, Americans hide their tea in booze cups.
