The brainchild of a group of Chi gals practicing what they call "experimental booze baking", TBL is a renegade pastry outfit bent on seamlessly blending beer and liquor into all manner of cupcakes, cookies, and the like -- get caught doing this at an elementary school, and expect to get your just desserts. Just hit them up with a favorite brew or cocktail and they'll tinker until they've found a way to incorporate it into sweets, whether it's a hard cider cookie topped with homemade apple butter, a bacon chocolate stout cupcake, or a cola cupcake with whiskey frosting, though if all you taste is sugar, the bourbon of proof is on them. Going beyond just baking, book them to cater an event and they'll show up for service in full-on '40s pinup gear -- but no jumping out of giant cakes, as the cake would actually get them smashed
They've also been making impromptu appearances to sell their wares at assorted nightlife spots, though if you think you're going to get laid while eating a whoopie pie, you're living in a land of pure imagination.
