Indian cocktails in Covent Garden

Officially launching tomorrow, Dishoom's touted as London's first "Bombay Café": a sixties Asian staple resurrected here across two floors with the traditional bentwood chairs, marble countertops, low-hung lights, slowly turning ceiling fans, and vintage family portraits adorning the walls. The all-day menu battles hunger with such fare as breakfast bacon naan rolls, slow-cooked house black daal, and chicken berry biryani; eastern-tinged cocktails include the gin St. Martini (w/ homemade pomegranate & chilli syrups) and the also-gin DG&T, augmented with a few drops of Ashwagandha, a "virility-promoting Indian ginseng" -- a bit silly, but far less so than promoting virility by not drinking gin.
