The Helsinki Guggenheim’s Proposed Design Is Breathtaking

Helsinki is the latest city to welcome a branch of the Guggenheim Foundation's incredible museum system, with a museum slated to open in the next few years. To house world-class, one-of-a-kind art, you need a world-class, one-of-a-kind-building, and the winner of the Guggenheim Helsinki Design Competition created just that: an eye-catching design we definitely haven't seen anywhere else. The plan, by Paris-based architectural firm Moreau Kusunoki Architectes awaits city council approval, but with conceptual images like these, we're sure it's only a matter of time before this design becomes a reality.
