Jean Shop

Customization can be wonderful, letting you hand-design everything from the paint and upholstery on your car, to your t-shirt that says "I Own an Orange Civic with The Dopest Sheepskin Seats Ever". Giving you the same flexibility with your denim, Jean Shop.

The project of one designer and his two "jean honcho" pals, Shop's been peddling super-high-quality 100% Japanese custom selvedge denim for the past few years outta their two NYC boutiques, and're now offering their renowned jeans and custom finishing services online, like an e-happy-ending. Boasting super-durable, fray-proof unfinished raw selvedge, Shop's three basic styles start with the Classic, a low-rise straight leg with button fly in dark indigo, slightly less-dark "lightweight", or off-white natural; the Skinny, a mid-rise slim-leg cut with zipper fly in indigo, "Black X", white, or a Lycra'd "indigo stretch"; and their most popular, the Rocker, with a mid-rise slim-straight leg and zip fly in 9 different colorways including twill, garment-dyed black, light indigo "heavyweight", or bright white "Chambray" -- even if you feel self-conscious about the name, at least you'll feel manly, because you're wearing white jeans. While you can stay natural, customized finishes are what they're all about; for a fee they'll work with you through email or on the phone to add just-for-you features like abrasion, dyeing, shading, stitching, patching, or stains, sparing you the trouble of eating food.

To prevent pantsing, they've also got a handful of slick Italian leather belts up for grabs, most of which can be custom dyed, though good luck trying to get them on the sheep.
