Hot Sauce Depot

Some people say there's a fine line between pleasure and pain, though with that bit in your mouth, who can tell what the hell you're saying? Exposing your tongue to an awesome variety of delicious torment, Hot Sauce Depot

An online retailer based in Keller, the Depot's warehouses host "one of the widest selections on the planet" of 'bud-destroying liquids; the pepperhead founder started the biz casually after encouragement from a next-door sauce maker, but now travels the globe to find new products and develop ever hotter recipes for disaster. Sauces are categorized by brand, price, & heat, ranging from not-mild sounding milds like Defcon #3, Diva Jalapeno Harissa, and Zakk Wylde's Original Berserker (black label? Its love for you is a ticking clock), to heat howitzers like One Drop At A Time (actually comes in a dropper), the 5-million Scoville, cayenne-based 357 Mad Dog, and Melinda's The Ghost, made with world's-hottest bhut jolokia peppers -- used to repel elephants in India by people without the business savvy to invest in a very large, trumpet-like gun. The rest of the stock covers condiments (Danny Cash Convict Ketchup, Irazu Volcanic Hot Mustard), nearly 50 salsas & quesos (Blair's Death...Iguana), bbq sauces, chutneys, jerks, and marinades; similarly hardcore foodstuffs include Wake Up extra-strong coffees, Acid Rain Hot Nuts, and Butt Kickin' Peanut Butter, perfect if your dog is also "tired of the routine".

The Depot also puts out a blog on all things spicy, with new-stock updates, tips, recipes, travel logs, and independently penned reviews -- though being amateurs, you probably don't want to prostrate yourself to their advice and obey it slavishly. Now, worm!
