Try this Boozy Apple Float Before Fall Slips Away (Or Anytime You Like; It’s Amazing)

Here’s a rare cocktail that’s elevated but requires no heavy lifting to get there. Sarah Osborn of St. Louis haunt Sardella created it, and she used apple brandy (highly underrated), elderflower liqueur (for floral depth and contrast), and apple sorbet (for a pleasingly sweet and tart base).

It’s got complexity and character worthy of a craft cocktail place, but just look how easy it is to make:

Ingredients

  • 1 oz apple brandy
  • 2 oz elderflower liqueur
  • 2 scoops apple sorbet

Method

  • Add apple sorbet to a Rocks glass.
  • In a mixing glass, stir apple brandy and elderflower liqueur with ice.
  • Strain the liquids over the apple sorbet in the Rocks glass.
