Colorado's Best Après-Ski, According to Pro Skiers & Snowboarders

Nothing beats skiing in fresh powder... other than drinking afterwards while talking about how you were skiing in fresh powder. And the Monster Energy athletes we spoke to sure know a lot about pow and drinking; they shared their favorite après-ski spots from across the state, as well as what they like to drink when they're there. Spoiler alert: they love Breckenridge and Aspen.

The Little Nell

"I like ordering an Aspen Brewing Company ale. Don’t remember the name of the one I had, but they have good ones, I know that! Maybe it was called Conundrum Ale? [Editor's note: Conundrum Red Ale is correct!]" -- Iouri Podladtchikov, 2015 X Games Aspen Men's Snowboard SuperPipe Bronze Medalist

Cecilia's Night Club

"My good buddy Johnny Mackey manages there and is one heck of a mixologist. I usually order an extra-dirty gin martini or a Budweiser, depending on how I'm feeling."  -- Jossi Wells, 2015 X Games Aspen Men's SuperPipe and Big Air Skier

Inn at Aspen

"It's right at the base of Buttermilk Resort, the home of Winter X Games. I order a Moscow Mule with Grey Goose, real ginger beer, fresh-squeezed lime juice, and a copper mug is always a plus -- it's also the proper way to drink Moscow Mules." -- Nate Holland, 2015 X Games Snowboard Cross Bronze Medalist

Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant & Cantina

"Their jalapeño margaritas are amazing. They also have great deals on tacos during happy hour so you can cover all the bases at one stop. Or if you're in more of a cerveza mood, I recommend the Montejo." -- Brita Sigourney, 2015 X Games Aspen Women's Ski SuperPipe Bronze Medalist

"They mix a mean margarita, and they have the best Mexican food in Summit County. You can't go wrong stopping in there for après-ski." -- David Wise, 2014 Olympic Ski Halfpipe Gold Medalist

Johnny McGuire's Deli

"Best sandwiches on the planet! For food, I always get the Trucker on wheat with no pepperoncinis. It’s got grilled turkey, bacon, BBQ sauce, cheddar, and mayo. As far as drinks go, either a Monster Rehab to wash it down or a nice ginger beer." -- Colby West, Pro Skier and X Games Correspondent
