You could buy some pumpkin spice syrup to make this recipe, but it’s been well established by now that that would be a pretty basic move. Instead, try making our signature recipe for the stuff, which we don’t mind saying is quite delicious: It’s got real pumpkin puree, vanilla, brown sugar, and delicious baking spices perfect for fall. After that, it's super simple: ice, vodka, an ounce of pumpkin spice syrup, shake, strain, top with ginger beer and garnish with cinnamon sticks and freshly grated nutmeg. So good.
Here’s the step by step:
- 2 oz vodka
- 1 oz pumpkin spice syrup
- 4 oz ginger beer, to top
- Cinnamon sticks, for garnish
- Nutmeg, for garnish
- Combine vodka and pumpkin spice syrup in a shaker tin with ice; shake for 10-15 seconds.
- Pour over fresh ice in a Moscow Mule mug, and top with ginger beer.
- Garnish with two cinnamon sticks and a pinch of fresh nutmeg.
