Get your espresso in a chocolate cone at this LA shop

Unless you managed to stockpile a ton of Dominique Ansel cookie cups, you probably don't bite into your mug after you've drained the contents. Well that's about to change thanks to a Los Angeles coffee shop, which is currently serving espressos and macchiatos out of chocolate-dipped waffle cones.

Alfred's Coffee + Kitchen started serving the cone cups as a "secret menu item" late last month, only they didn't stay secret very long. You'll still have to put in an off-menu request for one of these cups, but, for $5, your espresso or macchiato can come in the freshly-dipped, custom-built "Alfred Cone". Of course, you also have to pay for the coffee, so it's not the cheapest drink you'll ever buy. But if you're looking for an excuse to eat a waffle cone, and you don't have access to ice cream, this is absolutely the next best thing.
