Spock-inspired wine might be tasty, but (space)man cannot live on vino alone. For Trekkies who prefer a bolder beverage, CBS is rolling out Klingon Warnog, a Dunkelweizen that will serve as the Federation's first officially licensed Star Trek brew.
Klingon Warnog is a joint venture between the Federation of Beer and CBS Consumer Products, but it isn't being brewed by the cast of The Mentalist. That honor instead goes to Tin Man Brewing Company, based out of Evansville, IN. The beer itself will boast a banana-and-clove aroma, while the flavor will lean heavy on the rye malt and cloves. Klingon Warnog is being previewed at Vegas's Nightclub & Bar Show today, but the rest of us Earth dwellers can get a taste later this year, when the beer gets a wide release across Canada and the US.
