These new Hobbit beers are precious

As the four Game of Thrones brews have proven, fantasy beers are a pretty hot market nowadays. And while the world still waits for a Beastmaster Brown, the folks at BevLink and Fish Brewing have jumped on the Middle Earth train with a trio of beers commemorating The Hobbit.
Each beer is tied to one of the movies, so first up is Gollum's Precious Pils for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. According to the release, it's a 9.5% ABV imperial pils that's "as tough and determined as Gollum himself" and is liable to make you talk like him after a few pints. Then there's Smaug's Stout, another 9.5% ABVer styled after a Russian Imperial Stout and brewed in tribute to The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. And for the grand finale, they've got Bolg's Belgium Tripel Ale for the upcoming The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. The 8% ale is named after the fearsome orc chieftain, though it surprisingly doesn't pay tribute to the movie by being a 900-minute IPA.
The beers will start shipping this week, beginning "in the West" and eventually expanding across the nation. While you wait, polish your finest tankard and start testing these drinking game rules.
