Mankind has been enjoying vodka-soaked candy for ages -- or at least since the nation's first frat brother said, "Dude. Come look at this." But while most people consume their boozy gummy bears straight-up, Molly over at My Name Is Yeh is rewriting the playbook by dunking them in a pitcher of even more booze. Namely, an apple-and-lime sangria. Can we get a hell yeh?
The recipe begins by soaking your gummy bears in vodka overnight, or for at least eight hours. Once the bears are liquored-up, strain them and set the vodka aside for a future adventure. Then plop the candy in a pitcher with a bottle of white wine, some apple juice, club soda, sliced apples, and lime. Garnish with more lime wedges and skewers of gummy bears. Serve over ice. You're all done, so kick back and wait for the inevitable visions of dancing Grateful Dead bears to appear in your glass after several refills.
