Guy breaks beer-carrying record, is now world's most important athlete

Munich's kinda-famous Oktoberfest is less than two weeks away, and some people are already getting in the spirit. Not by pouring Kölsch over their lederhosen, mind you, but by carrying a crap-ton of liter beer mugs. On Sunday, one Oliver Struempfel transported 27 full one-liter beer mugs over 130 feet, beating his one competitor and setting a new world record in the process. Watch his impressive display at the Gillamoos beer festival below, and try not to hear Steve Austin's soft cries of inadequacy in the distance:

Kristin Hunt is a food/drink staff writer for Thrillist, and has been known to carry a whole liter of beer by herself on occasion. Follow her to strength training at @kristin_hunt.
