If you love 21st Amendment Hell or High Watermelon beer but wish it was 10x pinker and 20x, um, watermelonier, the folks at Perpetually Hungry have released a super-easy guide to concocting melon brews in your own kitchen. Drawing inspiration from a particularly great shandy, PH mastermind Taylor cut up 1/4 of a watermelon into chunks, mashed them into a juice with a blender, strained out the pulp, and then poured it into a glass of Shock Top Belgian White. (Obviously, the recipe should work with any beer, but Belgian whites are recommended.) That's it.
The recipe is perfect for picnics and other outdoor drinking occasions, and affords you the opportunity to lie about being a brewmaster, since you technically did make that watermelon beer everyone's excited about.
