Contrary to what the more alarmist TV stations are reporting, teenagers do not spend all their time chilling in abandoned opium dens. According to a survey by investment firm Piper Jaffray, you're much more likely to find them ordering Vanilla Bean Frappuccinos at the local Starbucks.
For the eighth year in a row, the coffee giant has ranked as the number one chain destination for American teens. If Sbux is tragically closed, the runner-up is Chipotle for teens from upper-income households and McDonald's for those from average-income households. Chick-fil-A, Taco Bell, and Dunkin' Donuts also made appearances in the teens' top five lists, narrowly edging out "that Chili's where Taylor Swift ate lunch once" for the honor. Enjoy these spots while you can, kids, because soon you might get carded.
