This Walking Dead-inspired beer is made with actual brains

Last Summer, AMC enjoyed a moment of boozy synergy when Marble Brewery made two limited-run Breaking Bad beers. Now it looks poised for similar, undead glory with a brand new Walking Dead brew. Only where Marble stopped short of adding meth to their beers, Philly's Dock Street Brewery is going all in with an American Pale Stout brewed with actual brains.

The Dock Street Walker, as it is aptly named, features such ingredients as wheat, oats, flaked barley, and organic cranberry, but the real clincher is the smoked goat brains. The idea came from Dock Street's head brewer Justin Low and brewery representative Sasha Certo-Ware, both superfans of the show who wanted to make a zombified beer in tribute. Naturally, they landed on this 7.2% ABV result. The beer will make its official debut at the brewery's season finale party on March 30, with growlers available for anyone who'd rather imbibe in the comfort of their own doomsday bunker. If you're in Philly, make sure to swing by next Sunday. The rest of us will be here, patiently waiting for a sudsy homage to AMC's other classic, Small Town Security.
