Whole Foods makes shopping less terrible with "walkin' around beer"

Grocery stores suck, but one innovative Whole Foods in Austin has found a way to make shopping way less painful... with "walkin' around beer".

Thrillist first heard of the grocery's groundbreaking move through an eagle-eyed Redditor, and immediately called the store to confirm. Turns out the store's full liquor license -- they also have a pretty legit bar -- allows them to serve beer to browsing customers. Shoppers can either grab something from Bar Lamar or score a can before they shop. There's no data suggesting the policy has seen an increase in impulse buys like cap guns and Bazooka gum, but this is a business model definitely worth toasting.
