The pumpkin spice craze has a pretty clearly defined shelf life -- when fall's over, pumpkin spice lattes are subsequently replaced by egg nog lattes, and then weird minty St. Patrick's Day stuff for some reason, year after year. But for one intrepid lady in Quad Cities, Illinois, the end of the season doesn't mean that pumpkin spice lattes are gone. Because she's stockpiling an entire year's worth of the stuff.
Sherry Lynn Gustafson has been in love with PSLs for about 10 years now after a lifetime of craving pumpkin pie, and she's made it her mission this year to load up on the drink mix so that she can have it straight through to next fall. That means buying 52 boxes of it. Sure beats a pie per day.
She used to make the mix herself at home, but with new innovations letting her pop the stuff into her Keurig, she's ushering in a new era of gourd fixation. Now all she needs to do is pair it with some "pumpkin spice cheese ball mix".
