Year-end "best of" lists have been dropping left and right, but if you need to take a break from arguing over the best butt selfie of 2014, why not enjoy YouTube's most popular beer ads? These three commercials made the top 10 of the 2014 YouTube Ads Leaderboard at #3, #9, and #10, respectively, and they were all brought to you by prominent suds-makers. Get ready for lots of puppies, but also lots of Sociology 101.

"Puppy Love" (Budweiser)

The first of two pup-centric ads by Bud, this update to the classic Clydesdale horses campaign pretty much won the Super Bowl, and probably deafened at least 11 bystanders thanks to the ensuing chorus of "awwwww"s.

"Friends Are Waiting" (Budweiser)

We get that the guy did the right thing by crashing at his friend's place instead of driving while buzzed, but how did he even leave that dog in the first place?!

"The Payphone" (Heineken)

As part of a grand social experiment, Heineken tapped SNL alum and feminist bookstore proprietor Fred Armisen to call a payphone across from New York's famous Comedy Cellar. When strangers picked up, he told them to come across the street. Most people were skeeved out (imagine!) but the few that agreed got to come on stage with him at the comedy club for a very weird and very memorable night. We guess the lesson here is to pick up payphones more often, though Colin Farrell would probably beg to differ.
